Marine Forecast:  Fine, 5 knots variable southerly winds

Crew:  Sandra, Eduardo, Javiera, Graciela, Isabelle, Geoff

Departed Chaffers Marina at 1230 hrs and sailed across Wellington Harbour with No. 1 Genoa and full Mainsail. Southerly was a steady 10-12 knots which gave us speeds of around 6 knots with Javi doing a great job on helm!

Arrived at Ward Island at 1400 hrs and rafted up with two other boats on the club mooring.  Decided not to launch the dinghy and visit the island as it was a bit cool and we weren't keen on a wet landing on the beach!

Had a nice lunch and then headed back home at 1515 hrs with a brisk sail back with speeds of 6.4 to 6.8 knots across to Point Halswell with Eduardo on helm. Speed dropped to 5.5 knots as we crossed Evans Bay.

Arrived back at the home berth at 1625 hrs to the sweet sounds of Pop Goes The Weasel on repeat from DJ Isabelle.
