Marine Forecast: Northerly 15 knots developing everywhere this afternoon, rising to 20 knots late evening. Sea becoming moderate late evening. Fine.

Crew: Geoff, Graciela, Jenny and Isabelle!

Beautiful fine and breezy Wellington day so decided to go out for a short sail and introduce Isabelle to sailing!

Departed Chaffers at 1350 hrs and after getting Isabelle accustomed to motoring around Lambton Harbour on the boat we hoisted the Main and No. 3 Jib and got a good speed up to 6.5 kts out towards Somes Island. Wind was 15 kts gusting 20. Turned round and heading back arriving at the berth at 1600 hrs.

Isabelle wasn't interested in putting on the life jacket so Jenny held her in the baby carrier throughout the trip and she had a bottle and a nap. She did very well for a first time and will no doubt be a pro after a few more outings!
