Forecast: Friday: Variable 5 knots. Southerly 10 knots developing for a time this afternoon. Northerly 10 knots developing this evening. Sea slight. Fine. Saturday: Northerly 10 knots. Sea slight.

Crew: Jenny, Jono and Geoff

Did some practice helming with motor only first with Jenny and Jono on the tiller then hoisted the full mainsail and No. 2 headsail. (Haven't used No.2 for a while and we needed to apply CRC to the hanks). Winds about 4-5 knots southerly then moved around to easterly and then dropped to almost nothing. Before leaving the berth I adjusted speed log calibration to 150%. Speed seems about right now (measured 6.4 kts under full engine power) but need to verify with SOG measured by GPS app. Put the fishing line out but no bites this time.

First time out in Halo for Jenny and Jono while Graciela baby-sat Isabelle. Perfect conditions for a first-time sail. They both handled the experience very well. Pro sailors!
